The following organizations and initiatives have led the way in research, projects, outreach and promoting the College & Work Ready Agenda goals:

Achieve
Achieve, Inc., is a bipartisan, non-profit organization that helps states raise academic standards, improve assessments and strengthen accountability to prepare all young people for postsecondary education, work and citizenship. Through the American Diploma Project, Achieve has developed benchmark standards that describe the specific math and English skills high school graduates must have if they are to succeed in postsecondary education and high-performance jobs. Achieve works with states to incorporate these expectations in state standards and assessments for high schools. In addition, Achieve has developed grade-level math standards for kindergarten through grade 8 and has launched an online business leaders toolkit.

Business Partnership for Early Learning (BPEL)
BPEL is a coalition of King County business leaders stepping forward to invest in an innovative, research-based early learning strategy as a way to close the school preparedness gap.  We do this through home visitors providing pre-literacy and parenting programs for two years to families with toddlers who most need help.

College Success Foundation
The College Success Foundation (CSF) provides college scholarships and mentoring to low-income, high-potential students. Currently, the CSF's top priority is the successful implementation of the Washington State Achievers Program. However, it has also partnered with individuals and organizations to fund and administer the Costco Scholarship, the Chateau Ste. Michelle Scholarship, the Governors Scholarship, and the Leadership 1000 Scholarship program. It has also established an endowment fund, the income from which aims to allow economically disadvantaged students to realize their full career potential.

Washington State MESA (Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement)
In MESA, African-American, Native American, Latino and female students prepare for college in mathematics, engineering, and science, beginning in elementary school, and continuing through high school. MESA supports students, teachers, and parents with innovative, hands-on programs and opportunities. With a proven track record of success, MESA is a partnership that brings leaders from higher education and business into the classroom to engage K-12 students in the careers of the future.

Thrive by Five
Thrive by Five Washington, its partners and its grantees will promote community-based, market-driven solutions that will expand access to early learning opportunities for all our state's children. Thrive by Five Washington will provide support and information to parents and caregivers while working to ensure that all children from birth to age five have access to excellent, affordable early learning, whether at home with a parent or caregiver, in child care or in a preschool.

Transition Mathematics Project
The Transition Mathematics Project (TMP) is a collaborative project of K-12 schools, community and technical colleges and baccalaureate institutions. Designed to help students successfully progress from high school math to college-level math, TMP has identified the math skills and knowledge high school graduates need to complete college-level work, meet minimum admission requirements and avoid remediation upon enrolling in college.

Washington State University Office of Research
The Office of Research helps provide oversight to a number of the University’s research Centers, which the University realizes play an important role in our society. The University's research Centers constantly change to reflect society's critical issues, and serve as a resource to encourage interdisciplinary teaching, research, and resource sharing.
